When slugs move unnoticed through your garden, a visual check is often not enough – especially in the early morning or evening hours. What exactly are slugs?

Nudibranchs are snails without shells that belong to the group of land snails. In Europe, these include species from the families Arionidae (snails) and Limacidae (slugs). These animals are nocturnal and hide in damp areas during the day – and are a particular problem in near-natural gardens. They eat lettuce, strawberries, zucchinis and ornamental plants – and reproduce quickly.

How do AdamGard snail traps work?

Our slug traps are based on a simple but effective principle: you place them at the edge of your garden, away from your beds. In combination with Slug Pellets they specifically attract the slugs. The animals are attracted by the scent of the bait, crawl into the trap, eat the grain – and die there. In this way, you steer them away from your plants instead of fighting them right next to your crop.

Like all components in the AdamGard horticultural system, our snail traps are also modular. You can assemble them individually – according to the desired length or space requirements. Particularly attractive: the traps can also be combined with AdamGard sculptures or statues. This makes them not only functional, but also a real design element in your garden.

Convenience in use

Our snail traps are very easy to open – so you can easily carry them with you. Slug Pellets without having to reach into the trap by hand. For cleaning, the trap can be folded away to the side and rinsed out with water. All parts can be attached to the AdamGard base plate, which in turn can be secured with a peg is securely fastened to the ground – stable, weatherproof and invisible.

For a complete garden solution, we recommend combining our slug traps with other components of the AdamGard system.
